Framing the view: a lakeside cottage designed for living
Set along the quiet edge of a lake, this contemporary cottage is designed to dissolve the boundary between indoors and out. Expansive glazing captures uninterrupted views from every angle, whether you’re relaxing in the living room or unwinding in the bathroom, the landscape becomes part of the experience.
At the heart of the design are SlimLine 38 windows, chosen for their elegant, ultra-slim profiles. These frames maximize natural light while maintaining excellent thermal performance, proving that refined aesthetics and energy efficiency can go hand in hand. The result is a bright, comfortable interior that feels effortlessly connected to nature.
The ConceptPatio 155 sliding systems open up the living space entirely, creating a seamless transition to the outdoor terrace. Large glass surfaces invite the lake inside, while the system’s performance ensures comfort throughout the seasons. It’s a perfect balance between openness, insulation, and ease of use.
Completing the envelope, the ConceptWall 50 façade provides a robust and versatile solution for the larger glazed sections. It supports the architectural vision with clean lines and reliable performance, contributing to both the visual impact and the building’s energy efficiency.
This project is a true reflection of Reynaers Aluminium’s core values. Through close partnership with the architect and North American fabricator, innovative solutions were tailored to meet both design ambitions and performance requirements. The result is a home where innovation, thermal excellence, and timeless design come together, framing not just views, but a way of living.
